CLOSING THE WORD GAP
Fewer words heard means fewer words learned. By the age of 3, children born in low-income families hear 30 million fewer words than their more affluent peers. A word gap exists, and it doesn't stop there. People who rely on listening to learn, like the visually impaired, struggle with a word gap of their own.
For every Audible book you finish, Audible will donate one to those in need to share in the literacy benefits of listening. Donations will help promote literacy and learning skills for underprivileged children, the visually impaired, and disabled.
